Strapless ball gown in a muted gold silk brocade base with black net  over it  and black silk ribbon sewn vertical to look like a Victorian corset. The bodice is fully boned. The full skirt has a 1950s feel to it the pattern of the brocade get larger to the hem. There are 3 tightly pleated rows of the net which is sewn on the diagonal. This incredible gown is made by Fontana an Italian Haute Couture house  owned by 3 sisters which opened up in 1943. Measures are Bust 38, waist 30, hips 40 length 59
