Marie St John started her company in 1962 with her husband Robert Gray in Irvine CA. They had 70 designs which was knitted by her mother and aunt. They approached Bullocks and they bought all 70 of their designs. This periwinkle blue suit dates from the mid 1980s consists of a jacket and skirt. The jacket has a  Peter Pan collar and straight lines meaning it does not come in at the waist. The black trim is on the collar, cuffs and down the front of the jacket. The jacket actually closes with a zipper in the front and has 4 silver metal clasps that do close but are more for decoration. The skirt is straight in style and closes by a zipper. St John’s is known for their knitwear and is always has the highest quality. Their knits are double woven so they’ll never fall apart.
