YSL was born in Algeria and educated in Paris. His first fashion job was with Christian Dior as his assistant. After the sudden death of Dior he became the head designer and in 1961 he started his own hause. He first started only with dresses then advanced to accessories. These red evening pumps were designed right before he retired. Made out of silk and leather. Even though they are re simple in style the color makes them pop. Especially if you wore a contrasting colored evening gown. Worn once or twice the silk has no stains or wear to them. They are a size seven narrow.
