Sold OutThe Cheongsam or Qipao were dresses worn by unerring class Chinese women they became in style in the west in the late 1920s and 1930s .This black silk one is embroidered with red chrysanthemums which in the Chinese culture means happiness and longevity. The embroidery trails down the front on the diagonal. The Nehru collar and slight cap sleeves are typical style of the Cheongsam/Qipao. There are 2 slits on the side that measure 8 inches and the closure is a left side zipper and snaps at the bust line and collar. Measures as follows shoulders 15, cap sleeve 1.5, armhole 7, bust 36, waist 29. Hips38, length 42 excellent condition
