Janet Lynn was a Philadelphia based fashion company. Charles Noble bought the company from E Gordon in 1937 and changed the name to Janet Lynn after his granddaughter. The print of this dress is killer. Starting with the turquoise base color with white panels that look like windows. With in the panels are flowers in purple and blue. And to add another dimension there are large peonies in pink and blue. Above the hem there is yet another pattern almost looks like door openings in a Moroccan castle. Inside that is a bouquet of flowers. With all that going on the design is simple with a round neckline, sleeveless and straight down like most shifts. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Armhole 8, Bust 36, Waist 28, Hips 38, Length 37 excellent condition this dress was never used. Janet Lynn took it from the showroom when the company went out of business
