She went to school in New York and returned to Ireland where she worked for Sybil Connelly before she opened her own house. Grace Kelly and the Kennedys were her loyal clients. The base of this dress is Irish linen with light blue Irish crochet lace. Round neck and sleeveless are a must for tennis to give you maximum movement. Fitted bodice tapers to a flair end skirt. Zips up the front for closure. Mary was own to go to flea markets to find antique lace especially Irish lace. The lace on this tennis dress could possibly be antique lace.
