There are no true words to describe the magnificence of this dress. The workmanship of this evening gown is pure Haute Couture unfortunately there is no label to see who the genius was. Custom made late 1960s evening gown is hand beaded in a star pattern on silk organza an intricate and time consuming skill because organza can rip easily. The empire waist design is simple and elegant to show off the brilliant beadwork. The puff raglan sleeves have a beaded cuff that looks like you are wearing a bracelet. It closes in the back with a zipper to above the waist then there are covered button that close the upper back to neckline. The neckline is beaded in a way to look like a necklace is being worn so all you need is a great pair of earrings. Below the empire waistline is a silk bow which has been tripled and sewn to give it stiffness. The silk lining is a shade darker than the organza. The color of blue is unique as well it is lighter than navy is the best way to describe it.
