There are two ties that come from the points of the diamond that tie in the back. The dress has a slight A line making the skirt flow especially with movement. Zips up the back for closure. Synthetic fabrics were used in the 1970s even by the top designers like Halston. They could travel and not wrinkle and they could drape like no other fabric.
