1970’s Malcolm Starr Yellow/Multicolor Silk Lamé Dress Size 6

Malcolm Starr was destined to be in fashion, his mother was a costume designer and father in the textiles industry. His father started the company in 1947 and Malcolm took it over in the late 50s. This early 1970s gown has a mock turtleneck and raglan sleeves. the fitted bodice has a slight empire waistline. The skirt has a patchwork quilt pattern in yellow, pink, green and ice blue base with gold lamé leaves. The large pleats start at the waistline and taper to the hem. The belts is separate and matches the color of the top. Measures as follows Shoulders 14, Sleeves 22, Bust 34, Waist 26, Hips 38, Length 50. At the neck there a button missing which was pure decorative, on the right sleeve above the cuff there is some wear pictured.
