1970’s White Cotton Mary O’Donnell Embroidered Day Dress Size 4

The softest of cotton perfect for a summer. The fabric is hand embroidered white on white daisy flowers with a purple and green center down the center as well as the back. The mandarin collar is made of green and purple taffeta with cotton scalloped lace trim. The raglan sleeves are embroidered in the same daisy pattern below the elbow to the cuff which has the same taffeta and lace as the collar.. finishing off the dress is the hem, having the green and purple taffeta with 2 rows of lace. The hand made buttons are small flowers in cotton lace with the purple and green centers. The workmanship in this dress is outstanding and the time that went into it. Designed by Mary O’Donnell one of Ireland’s Haute Couture houses. She went to school in New York and went back to Dublin worked for Sybil Connolly then opened her house in 1955. Measures as follows Shoulders 14, Sleeves 23, Armhole 7, Bust 34,  Waist 24, Hips 39, Length 41 Excellent condition
