This Evening coat was worn to the opening of Gigi in 1973 by the wife of Tommy Valando the producer. Made by one of America’s top designers Bill Blass. The long trench coat is done in iridescent blue sequins. Wide lapels and double breasted are designed like a men’s coat from the 1940s. The coat does come with 2 belts and does look great without the belt. The back has a deep pleat from the waist to the hem so when yo sit down the coat will not ride up. Like all Trench coats there is a separate piece from the shoulders to the shoulder blade’s adding to the drama in the back. This is a great piece for any collection with Broadway and one of the great American designer. Measures as follows Shoulders 14, Sleeves 22, Armhole 7, Bust 34, Waist 28, Hips 38, length 58 there are sequins missing by the button holes and a few on the collar there is enough on the inner part to replace the missing sequins
