Ralph Lauren often goes to the past for inspiration. This linen ensemble is from 1980s but has a 1920s style to it. Large collar in light brown is what they call sailor collar. There is an emblem of an eagle on the right shoulder of the sleeve. The bodice is non fitted with 2 large pleats going vertical down the front and back. There is a matching separate belt that closes with a button. The blouse itself closes with faux mother of pearl buttons. The pants are based on men’s pants from the 1920s with the pleating at the waist band and pockets and they are made out of raw silk in an off white color.
