Pauline Trigère was born tin Paris to Russian Jewish immigrants. Her father was a master tailor and her mother was a haute couture sewer. At the age of 10 Pauline knew how to sew and knew how to make suits from her father. They eventually emigrated to NY. She worked at Hattie Carnegie where she learned the business side of the business. Her brother and ex husband gave her the money to start her own fashion hause. This dress is from the late 70s to early 80s. It is a silk blend. It is a charcoal grey design itself has a very 1940s feel to it. What makes the dress stand out is the oversized beads used on the bodice. Zips up the back and does have slight shoulder pads added to it. Excellent condition no holes or wear. Shoulders 15, sleeves 23, armhole 8, bust 36, waist 29, hips 40, length 45.
