1990’s Yves Saint Laurent Encore Wool Plaid Pant Suit Size 10

Yves Saint Laurent was considered one of the master couturier of the 20th century. He started his career at Christian Dior and became the head designer for the label when Dior died suddenly. He started his own label in the early 60s. This suit has the encore label in it. This division was catered to the American clientele, slightly more affordable and easier to obtain.the oversized jacket  has large shawl collar and loose raglan sleeves. The rounded pockets are useable and add a decorative element. There is a separate belt that can cinch in the waist. There are 4 buttons for closure. The pants are pleated at the pockets at a slight angle, have a small waist band.  The loose fit is reminiscent of the 1940s pants that Katherine Hepburn Zips up the front with a button at the top. Measures as follows Shoulders 16, Sleeves 23, Bust up to 40 Waist 30, Hips 40 Length of Jacket 41,Pants 36 Excellent condition
