Balenciaga was started in 1938 and has been a prominent fashion house ever since. Since 2010 there has been a focus on more avant garde design. This biker jacket was put over a white layered chiffon dress. The fitted jacket zips on the slight diagonal and is off center as well. The pockets are closed horizontally with zippers.  The mandarin collar has a flap that goes across purely for effect because it does not close. Fitted sleeves have a zipper opening at the cuff. Balenciaga demanded excellent workmanship and you can see it in this jacket. The seams are sewn under and covered in a thin strip which you can see on the sleeves and back of the coat. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Sleeves 23, Armhole 8, Bust 35, Waist 27.5 Length 20. Jacet has some wear but that is the look and may be done prior to selling it.
