Gone are the full skirts of the New Look in 1958. A new straight skirt often called pencil skirt became vogue. The fabric of this dress is os luxurious with it’s Kelly green base and blue brocade. The patern of the brocade is paisley with ribbons. Low rounded neckline is part of the overlay of the top. This overlay is sewn and can’t be removed and is slightly larger than the underneath. The back has 2 rows of buttons that are covered in the same fabric and it how the overlay closes..the straight skirt goes just below the knee and has a small slit in the back. At the waist is a satin turquoise sash with a large bow in the front.. the dress zips up the back for closure. Measures as follows Shoulders 14, armhole 7.5, Bust 34, Waist 26, Hips 38, Length 41. The bow has some fading at the top
