Capes were an intricate part of a womens wardrobe especially evening. When you went to the opera you did dress a long gown out of respect. This opera cape is midnight blue silk taffeta with a silk lining. The collar is ruched and the collar can be worn standing up in the back. The two long ties can be tied in the front but are more ornamental. 10 inches above the hem is all tiny pleats gathered and sewn. Does have slits for your arms and this is more of a fall or spring cape as it is not lined. Excellent condition. Shoulders 16.5, non fitted bust max 40, hips max 44, length 56.
