Tracy mills had is atelier in NYC in the Soho section. He was known for his avant-garde over the top evening wear and cocktail dresses. The underdress is made out of silk crepe. The outer part is the star. Done on the diagonal almost has as shawl feel to it. The silver metallic is actually beaded on black net. The gown dates from the late 70s because Tracy, unfortunately, died from complications of AIDS. He opened his atelier in 75 at the height of the disco rage.
