Mario Valentino was a fashion designer who specialized in leather. His store was on 5th Ave in Manhattan. He started out in the shoe business where he learned his craft and slowly transitioned over to leather. This coat gets its inspiration from Japanese designers such as Issey Miyake. This jacket is non fitted, oversized collar, sleeves are short, and are unnoticeable. There are three shades of green leather on the outside. The lining is a rich purple wool and cashmere blend as you can see in the photos it can be worn in many different ways and can even look like a poncho. Excellent condition. There is no wear on the leather which is very soft still. Two usable pockets. Measures: shoulders 15in, sleeves 13, armhole 9, bust non fitted, waist non fitted, length of jacket 35.
