1970’s red,White and Blue Cotton Malcolm Starr Jumpsuit Size 6
Product Details
Malcolm Starr took over the business in 1969 from his father who started it in 1940. Known for his use of exquisite fabrics. This jumpsuit dates from the early 70s. The base of the fabric is white with red and blue stripes. There is a solid blue at the bust line to the waist and at the bottom of the hem of the pants. Throughout the print there are pop art poppy flowers in red and a few white trimmed in red. In the early 70s we saw the emergence of the wide collar and raglan sleeves that this jumpsuit has. The covered buttons match the fabric and that is how you close the top of the jumpsuit, from the waist down there is a zipper for closure. The pants are wide palazzo. There is a matching belt that ties. The pantsuit would be perfect for the 4th of July or Bastille Day.
