1980’s Thierry Mugler Purple Polished Cotton Dress Size 10

Thierry Mugler is known for his avant-garde,futuristic and theatrical designs. Even in a day dress like this one has  some unusual designs. Polished cotton has a shine to it. The stand up collar is slightly higher on one side. The oversized shoulder are achieved by pads.  The elbow length sleeves have a large pointed cuff. Gathers in at the waist with tiny pleats. The skirt is straight down and goes in at the hem. There are 2 pockets that are sewn on the diagonal with a double seam to give it structure. The purple plastic buttons down the front are how the dress closes, they are a shade darker that’s the dress to add to the design. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Sleeves 15, Armhole 8, Bust 36, Waist 30 Hips 40, Length 48.5 Excellent condition
