2000’s Lela Rose Blue Floral Silk Dress Size 8

Lela Rose is a New York based designer known for use of color and fabric and her dresses tend to be very sculptural for she is a trained painter and sculptor. Black silk is the perfect base for this dress because it makes the blue flowers pop. They look like they have been freshly painted and you can see the brush strokes, there are brush strokes of silver, dark blues and pinks in between the flowers. Majority of Lila  Roses fabrics are her painting. The design is very mid 1960s with its fitted bodice and tapered skirt with an invisible zipper up the back for closure.  This dress is like wearing a piece of art. Measures as follows Shoulders 15, Armhole 8, Bust 36, Waist 28, Hips up to 40, Length 37 Excellent condition
