1980’s Pink Polyester Blend Dress Attributed to Hanae Mori Size 8
Product Details
The 80s had extremes in fashion.from oversized shoulder pants to the punk look or soft pastels reminiscent of the 20s and 30s. This dress exemplifies the softer look. The Ved neckline is pleated and Cris crosses. Shoulders are sloping to a full sleeve. The skirt is straight with a slit on the side. The light pink base highlights the cluster of flowers in shades of blue and pink. In the back there is a large bouquet of roses and dianthus. There is a separate pink belt that is tied in the back. The style is reminiscent of a kimono. The owner of the dress said that the dress was designed by Hanae Mori a Japanese designer who often used Japanese textiles and kimonos as inspiration. The label has been taken out unfortunately. The dress has no zipper so it has to go over the head but there is elastic at the waist to help with it putting on.
